Clyde Beatty-Cole Bros. Circus: The Grand Finale

“THE GRAND FINALE” captures the very last performance ever of the celebrated CLYDE BEATTY-COLE BROS. CIRCUS BAND, under the direction of James Haverstrom, recorded “live” under the big top, in November of 1996.  When the show reorganized for the following seasons, it carried on with nothing more than a keyboard, drummer, and an occasional lone trumpet, until they too were replaced by electronic programming.

This historic recording features not only the entire final show, but also includes additional bonus tracks, all one-time-only recordings made during the 1996 season.  This is as close as you will ever come to recreating the excitement of sitting under the Beatty-Cole blue and white big top, and listening to a seven-piece band blend a priceless compilation of traditional circus tunes with popular tunes of the day.  You will hear ringmaster Jimmy James announce each act and recap the season in the final moments, before the band bursts into a sentimental rendition of “Auld Lang Syne.”  It’s a trip back in time that you can relive over and over again.

Handsomely packaged, the two CD’s deliver over 100 minutes of genuine circus music at its all-time best!
