The World's Largest Circus in Action

Travel backwards in time to the 1920's, when the arrival of the circus train at early dawn signaled a city-wide holiday.  This breathtaking and remarkable rare footage of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, primarily filmed by various show personnel in the late 1920's, was assembled by DAN DEBAUGH, a Ringling press representative.  Many of the scenes were captured on the Chicago Grant Park lot in 1928.  In addition to detailed train unloading, setup, and backyard views, you will also see stunning performance sequences featuring circus legends such as LILLIAN LEITZEL, the REIFFENACH SISTERS on horseback, the FLYING CODONAS, CON COLLEANO, FELIX ADLER, BLUCH LANDOLF, and countless others.  There are even scenes of the Sarasota winterquarters buildings after the season's closing.  This is the best and ONLY complete print of this scarce 16mm film.  It is accompanied by authentic, traditional circus music from start to finish, making this a necessary addition to any collection.  Approx. 60 minutes, B&W.
